It would take to long to include here the full descriptions of all the different objects in the museum, as they are featured in the guide. Instead I just add a few of the illustrations: here at left we see a cooling pitcher (described as follows: "they are made out of unglazed clay which lets the water trickle through. These pitchers are widely used; always on the table and often brought along while traveling, by rail or to the market. People don't touch the spout with their lips but catch the flow."). In the middle a lamp and on the right a bronze toothpick holder. The toothpicks themselves are wonderfully carved and decorated! |
