Net gepost op flickr.com onderde titel "Museum the Alvazaal: the guide 4"en met het volgende bijschrift: On the left a plan of the museum itself and on the right a picture of an 'espada', bullfighter. Of course the bullfight has a prominent place in a museum like this. The text on this page reads:

"The collection of busts on mantlepiece A in the large hall represent ministers, literary men and bullfighters. On the left we see those of the royal family.
The bullfighter is in Spain, what in Germany of France is the artist. We see plan B, the statue of a bullfighter, espada, who later became a banker.
The espada's (the most prominent bullfighters) earn up to 80.000 peseta's a year (1 pes. = f0,50), including the many presents that people throw at them in the ring.
This banker and bullfighter, by the name of Montes, was persuaded at the coronation of Alphonsus XII to once again perform in the arena and paid for it with his death.
