Marthe Nicolette van de Kamer (tante Ouw), 1876-1962
Why, I don't know, but as children we called her 'aunt Ouw' (tante Ouw). In those days she lived with my grandmother in Amersfoort (see picture on the right). A sweet old bird, who used to read to us from all kinds of ancient children's books. She spent her life as a violin teacher in Middelburg where she had grown up. Never married, beloved by her nieces and nephews...
