Sinds vanmorgen op flickr met het volgende bijschrift:
Another example of how my mother could turn a family snapshot into a more universal
and photographically interesting image. On the far right my (step-)grandmother watching over her
two grandsons, with me on the left and my older brother in full motion with beach umbrella in the middle.
Sharp shadows, the relations between the three protagonists and a beautifully framed
background of rows of  storm breakers give the picture meaning and esthetic value.
Historically interesting: our bathing suits, made out of wool, I remember. Not very comfortable though...
